Local Government DRR Capacity Mentorship Pilot
Completed mentorship pilot strengthening union and upazila disaster management committees on planning, simulation, and inclusive preparedness.
CCI completed a mentorship pilot with selected union and upazila disaster management committees focused on practical DRR planning, simulation exercises, and inclusive preparedness routines.
Rather than one-off training days, mentors accompanied committees through annual plan revision, contingency stock reviews, and after-action reflections following local flood and storm events.
GEDSI checkpoints ensured women’s participation in decision forums and that disability inclusion was reflected in evacuation support plans and shelter management SOPs
The pilot produced a mentorship SOP, committee self-assessment scorecards, and case notes documenting institutional change over a single disaster season.
Lessons inform CCI’s ongoing district AA support and coastal preparedness assignments with local government partners
