About Us
We are a research-driven organization dedicated to understanding the social challenges that shape our communities. Through rigorous inquiry and collaborative partnerships, we turn evidence into action.
To produce rigorous, community-centered research that informs equitable policy and strengthens civic participation in the neighborhoods we serve.
A society where public decisions are guided by evidence, shaped by resident voices, and accountable to the communities most affected by change.
Founded by researchers and community organizers, CCI began as a small field project documenting housing instability in three urban districts. What started as a listening initiative has grown into a sustained research practice partnering with residents, agencies, and advocates.
Today we publish policy briefs, convene public forums, and support neighborhood-led action plans. Our work remains rooted in the belief that communities should not only participate in research — they should help define the questions that shape it.
Research priorities are set in partnership with residents and local organizations.
We combine qualitative and quantitative methods to produce trustworthy evidence.
Findings are shared publicly and tied to clear recommendations and follow-up.
