CCI Receives Grant to Expand Community Research Fellowship
A two-year foundation grant will fund six resident fellows to co-design research projects on housing, transit access, and civic participation.
CCI has been awarded a two-year grant from the Urban Equity Foundation to expand its Community Research Fellowship program. The funding will support six resident fellows who will work alongside CCI researchers to design studies, conduct fieldwork, and present findings to local policymakers.
About the fellowship
Fellows receive a stipend, training in research methods, and mentorship from senior staff. Projects will focus on housing stability, transit access, and barriers to public participation — priorities identified through our 2026 field survey.
Timeline
- Applications open: July 1, 2026
- Fellows selected: August 15, 2026
- Program begins: September 2026
“Residents are experts in their own neighborhoods. This fellowship puts that expertise at the center of how we ask questions and use evidence.”
How to apply
Applications will be available on our website starting July 1. No prior research experience is required. We especially encourage applicants from neighborhoods participating in our current field studies.
