CCI Continues Heat Stress Research with Fogarty International Center Support

CCI’s Earth observation heat stress research in Rohingya settings continues through 2025–26 with Fogarty International Center support.

Center for Climate Intelligence announces continued progress on its Fogarty International Center–supported study gauging long-term heat stress in Rohingya refugee settings using Earth observation data.

The research pairs remote sensing with community vulnerability frameworks to design targeted heatwave anticipatory action measures for camp settings.

CCI emphasises GEDSI-embedded analysis so findings reflect the risks faced by structurally excluded populations

Partners interested in interim briefs may contact the CCI team for collaboration discussions.

Updates will be shared through CCI events and publications as analyses mature

Programme highlights

  • Ongoing 2025–26 research timeline
  • EO and community methods
  • Anticipatory measure co-design
  • Partner engagement pathway
CCI embeds gender-responsive methodologies, disability-inclusive data collection, and intersectional analysis across all fieldwork and reporting — not as an add-on, but as a core design principle.
